Good taste and aroma, perfect to mix with coconut or mineral water (here in Puerto Rico as a caribbean island the weather is perfect to experiment mix). As you, I still prefer JW Black for my personal use... JB is perfect to share with friends that doesn't care about what a good scotch is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1653172298289839904.post-50619025425388722082021-08-14T10:23:41.862-03:002021-08-14T10:23:41.862-03:00Hi Termin, thanks for commenting. Sorry for the ...Hi Double D, thanks for commenting. Sorry for the late reply but I was traveling. I have no direct answer to your question but the following might help. Around 70% of the Blend is formed by 3 year old Grain Whiskies. Around 30% of the Blend is Single Malt and I would not be surprised if around 20-30 different Malts are being used. Judging by the aromas, mostly Speyside and Highland Malts are used with a little added peated whisky from the islands. Could be Jura. I would estimate that the malts used are in the 5-15 years range. Hope this helps! There is some type of disagreement going on between the distributors of Johnny Walker Red & John Barr. This is the third time this has happened. I have a friend who lives in Atlanta who brings me cases down when he comes or I bring it back with me when I go there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17483981726629419039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1653172298289839904.post-62433922660603717162016-12-18T12:48:29.156-02:002016-12-18T12:48:29.156-02:00Hi there! There are better Blends with this flavour profile like the JW Black but they are more expensive. Have you ever tried the Black Grouse? I haven't found a blend - at my price point - that I have enjoyed this much, and I'm so glad to have found an affordable Scotch that I love. A bit worried about supply but thankfully this doesn't seem to be too big of a problem.sailingsajoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02492839973922360625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1653172298289839904.post-51029979080769513592016-08-09T10:38:26.991-03:002016-08-09T10:38:26.991-03:00coming to Total Wine and ABC in September
