1 Year Best Shot Whisky Reviews

Hi Everybody and Welcome to Best Shot Whisky Reviews!

Today is a bit of a special day as Best Shot Whisky Reviews (formerly known as Jan's Whisky Paradise) celebrates it's first year of existence. When I started the site end November last year I had no idea where this would go. I just enjoyed tasting whisky and listening to Classic Rock from the Sixties and the Seventies and started writing about it. But now after 1 year I can tell you that it takes a lot of time to maintain the posts on a regular basis. I really have to thank my wife for letting me do this. Over 230 reviews and articles were posted during this first year. But the compensation has been the fact that many of you like the site and keep following it. In order to let more people be aware of the existence of the site I have been able lately to promote the site in various parts of the world but mainly in Asia and Europe. As a result the number of visitors is increasing rapidly. It' s very nice to see that out of each 15 new visitors, 1 comes back to revisit the site from time to time. Great isn't it! It's also amazing to see that people from all over the world are interested in Whisky and Classic Rock. Visitors from 171 countries have found the way to Best Shot Whisky Reviews. And many of them are from new booming whisky markets such as India, Singapore, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong and Eastern Europe. Many people over there are eager to find out that there's much more to whisky than Johnnie Walker Red and Blue! More and more, people also leave comments and that's very rewarding for me. Today we will probably pass the 100.000 Page View mark and that's a very nice number for the first year Celebration. I would like to thank all of you for visiting the site and showing interest. In the meantime I have been able to make contact with many people all over the world via e-mail, Facebook and Reddit. Some of them have been extremely nice in sending whisky samples and even books! That's really appreciated! In the last weeks I have been able to collect sufficient whisky samples and miniature bottles to promise you a great Tasting year 2013!
Once again thanks to everybody for their visits and interest!
See you all back tomorrow!
Jan

Hey Jan,
congratulations to your first birtday!
I hope that next year will be as successful as 2012 was. At least one pageview from germany is caused by whiskycuse, and this won´t be changed in 2013, that´s for sure.
By the way, you have to tell me the secret of receiving so many pageviews ;-)

Kind regards
Marcus

Great, I am looking forward to read your following reviews, and if you like to review something not available in brasil, just tell me. I will try my best to send it to you. And if this is too expensive, I will ship myself to brasil, with a suitcase containing dozens of samples ;-)

Thanks Marcus, Ha Ha it would be great if you could ship yourself to Brazil from time to time with lots of samples. But what we could do is the following. My brother in law in Holland and friends in Switzerland and Belgium send me small packages of samples from time to time. Say 6, 50 ml bottles or someting like that. The postage is around 14 Euro but I can pay you for that and for the samples via my parents in law in Germany. I will send you a list some day and you see what you can do. Would be great! Cheers, Jan!
